The primary responsibility for the Transloader Operator will be to efficiently unload/load bulk product as well as liquids in/out of rail cars/trucks within the facility. This position will also require basic knowledge on air compressors, pumps, hoses and conveyor systems.
Job Duties:
- Operate transloading equipment including an air compressor, transfer pumps, portable conveyor system, portable transloader and hand tools
- General maintenance, clean-up, and any other duties as assigned
- Must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision
- Completes all paperwork throughout daily activities, follows all operational and safety procedures
- Must perform opening, closing, and railcar inspections with the correct date and time
Key Requirements:
- Must be able to work alone and unsupervised
- Must be able to work in outdoor temperatures (hot and cold temperatures)
- You must be able to work weekends, and overtime work as needed
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Speak fluent English
Must Be Physically Able to do the Following:
- Climb on and off rail-car & trucks
- Operate rail-car hand brakes & switches
- Consistently sit, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb on elevated surfaces
- Lift 15 lbs. and work safely with this weight at knee, waist and shoulder level
- Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a shift
- Operate basic hand tools
- Wear required PPE including FR clothing
Starting Pay:
- $13.00 – $17.00 per hour
