Transloader Operator

The primary responsibility for the Transloader Operator will be to efficiently unload/load bulk product as well as liquids in/out of rail cars/trucks within the facility. This position will also require basic knowledge on air compressors, pumps, hoses and conveyor systems.

Job Duties:

  • Operate transloading equipment including an air compressor, transfer pumps, portable conveyor system, portable transloader and hand tools
  • General maintenance, clean-up, and any other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision
  • Completes all paperwork throughout daily activities, follows all operational and safety procedures
  • Must perform opening, closing, and railcar inspections with the correct date and time

Key Requirements:

  • Must be able to work alone and unsupervised
  • Must be able to work in outdoor temperatures (hot and cold temperatures)
  • You must be able to work weekends, and overtime work as needed
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Speak fluent English

Must Be Physically Able to do the Following:

  • Climb on and off rail-car & trucks
  • Operate rail-car hand brakes & switches
  • Consistently sit, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb on elevated surfaces
  • Lift 15 lbs. and work safely with this weight at knee, waist and shoulder level
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the course of a shift
  • Operate basic hand tools
  • Wear required PPE including FR clothing

Starting Pay:

  • $13.00 – $17.00 per hour

  • Transloading: 1 year (Preferred)
